Photos & News

You will want to see the numerous deer captured by our infrared camera.  In the first photo, next to Matthew Leavitt's left knee (it must be Matthew - who else has so many T shirts?) you will see one of the critter escape hatches kindly furnished by Henry Castner.  They permit free movement of smaller animals - we hope the rabbits are preoccupied with tastier morsels in nearby neighborhoods.

While installng the escape hatches, Henry and Maarten Simon-Thomas encountered a turtle far too big to fit.  They left  it outside the fence.  It's nice to know such creatures are around.

Chuck Racine reports a Parula warbler on the trail and has put out a call for emergency removal of  very large and invasive bittersweet.  email him at cracine46@gmail.com if your chain saw needs exercise.

And email me with any sights you see while walking this wonderful trail.
